Come to Fogo Island off
Newfoundland's Northeast Coast and take part in our murre (turr) or eider
duck hunt in season, for the ultimate hunting experience you will never
forget.
We will take you on a hunt in an
open 23ft. fiberglass boat with an experienced guide. You will ride
the wild Atlantic and see our rugged coasts, breathtaking scenery, and our
abundant sea birds as you participate in a hunt of our migratory birds in
flight as they follow their southward path for the winter. We will
provide personal flotation devices, all the necessary safety equipment,
and the skill and knowledge for a successful hunt. We will also
provide accommodations in fully-equipped efficiency units with a beautiful
view of our harbour. You will be less than a km. from a restaurant,
bar, grocery stores, liquor outlet, gas station and full banking
facilities, while still being able to look out over the open ocean.
Hunters are required to supply
their own firearms, ammunition, and food. Turr-hunting season is
from October 7th, 2006 to January 20th, 2007. Duck hunting season
runs from November 25th, 2006 to February 28th, 2007. We have daily
