BRIMSTONE HEAD PARK
The Fogo Harbour Lions Club invites you to
come and visit our Park. One of the main attractions is
"Brimstone Head", deemed by the Flat Earth Society
as being one of the four corners of the Earth.
Board walks will take you to the top where you
can view practically all the land mass of Fogo Island.
You will get a good view of the town; you will see the
community of Deep Bay; excellent view of Change Islands; you
can see islands off the shores of New World Island; an outline
of Green Bay can be seen and days when the atmospheric
convection is right, (clear day) and you can see Cape John many
miles away.
Throughout the summer you may get the
opportunity to view ice bergs and whales from the top of the
Head.
The Park is an excellent place for family
gatherings, picnics and a safe place for kids to play and
enjoy themselves.
